We have captured below some of the questions being asked to Sadhguru and Sadhguru’s replies to them.
As the answers were very long, we have tried to summarize the answers.
Question: At What age should children learn Yoga?
Answer: Yoga helps children connect to the life. This should happen to the children as early as possible. 7 years is good age to start.
In the words of Sadhguru:
It is very important that early in life, a child gets exposed to the right things. things that work from within because arrangements we make in the world around us can only be managed to a certain extent.
Question: What kind of Yoga should children learn? Is there any particular yoga for kids?
Answer: Trainer must keep in mind that not all exercises are valid for children e.g. Padmasana (because it creates stress in joints which can be harmful to the skeleton of growing child).
Simple exercises can be easily taught.
Question: How should yoga be taught to children? How do we introduce yoga to kids? How do we instill the thirst for yoga from an early age?
Answer: Children can start with Nada Yoga, Yoga Namaskar or Upa-Yoga (a part of Isha Hatha Yoga).
